I have now uploaded "Three's Horrible: Part I" to a video hosting site for the first time. Before it could only be seen in its high quality Flash form here but with no control over skipping ahead, back, or fullscreening it; but now you can feel free to fast forward all you'd like to my end theme song! Thank you, Thank you...
I've updated my portfolio to have my award winning short now play directly off of my site HERE!! |

This weekend I'm adding my Music section and with it an MP3 Player. I didn't create this MP3 Player, it was made by a guy named Tibi from Romania. He can be located, along with a bunch of other components he makes, at his website http://www.webdesign-flash.ro.

If you follow my blog, you'll know that I love writing music. The music phase of the shorts that I create is always a lot of fun because it's such a departure from all the other aspects of the process. The audio, in general, is a very fun area.
The music does run on loop so if you want something to listen to while you're reading my blog or surfing around my site by all means open that bad-boy up in its own tab and just enjoy! |

This weekend "Three's Horrible" premiered at the South Beach International Animation Film Festival in Florida. I wasn’t able to make it down there but today I got a very nice e-mail from the coordinator informing me that I had won in the Series/Comedy category. I know the prize is coming courtesy of Toon Boom but I'm unaware as of this moment what that will be. This is the first Film Festival that has shown “Three’s Horrible” at this point so this season kicks off to a good start on that end. The next festival is the prestigious Long Island International Film Expo on July 13th followed by the Animation Block Party on the 24th.

I've added a Film Fest Watch on my homepage which I'll hopefully be adding some more wins to. I guess this means I'm going to have to find some film festival olive branches graphics to use! |

I started work for a group called Global Sports Fraternity this week. They specialize in comedic skits based on sports; mainly the big three from the States: Basketball, Baseball, and Football. These guys love sports. When I say they love sports, I mean to an obsessive extent; so this really is a labor of love over there.
Most of the videos that they've done up until now have been straight live-action skits. These skits are usually based around super-fans, a monkey boardroom (very funny), a marionette deity, etc. What they wanted to do for this basketball season was something that would feature some of sports biggest stars like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Coach Phil Jackson, Charles Barkley, and so on. So with that in mind, they decided they wanted to go the animation route... which is where I come in.

Be sure to hop on over to their webpage and check out "Courtside Chatter", which is the working title for the animations this Basketball season.
See you in the finals! |

This morning I began production on my new short "Broken Egg". My progress bar as of now says that I'm in the concept stage. For more information on the stages that I'm going through on this short you should hope on over to my production blog. For now I'm fleshing out not just the story, but what I want to say with that story. My last project, "Three's Horrible", set a tone for itself but I don't want that to leak over into my other projects for now. I'm very aware of the way I present stories and scenes within and am looking forward to doing something completely different with "Broken Egg".

Today I updated my online portfolio here to a new redesigned format. I've included a progress bar that will easily display where I am in the production of my current personal animation project. You will see the title of the project, the start date, what stage I'm currently in, and the release date (or projected release date depending on how early in the process it is). You can see the progress bar in the top right of every page.

For more information on my current short, you can click the bar and go straight to my blog or you can get there throught the link menu. My hope is that this new format, aside from just an online portfolio, will keep people informed with what's going on in my personal projects as well as be a hub for my wider online presence. |

I did a bunch of small animated shorts for a company called United Stations. I've concluded my work for them in 2008 so I decided to make a show reel on my work for them this year. You can watch it here. They are a company that produces radio content and wanted to add animation to some of their radio sketches; so they gave me the audio clips, and I did the rest. As a freelancer you take any job you can get, but it always feels good to take one-man-animation gigs like this that I can just unleash on. Each of the shorts were about 45-60 seconds long and each took about 25-30 man hours to complete from beginning to end. |

Today I found out I won $250 for my short "Three's Horrible" in the Halloween animation competition at NewGrounds.com.

I'm quite happy with the way things turned out and how the short was received. I made it no secret that I originally wanted to make this a series and, as I said in my blog, I intend to continue with that plan. I'll keep this site and my blog updated with info when I do move forward with production on the second one, but for now I'm happy with the win.
Thank you to everyone who supported me |

Today I updated my blog to its new format. I'm going to be using it as a production blog from here on out. I have big plans for 2009 and hope to be releasing more content out here on the interwebs and will use my blog to show the progression of those projects. |
